Perfectionism is often driven by a fear of failure. We are afraid that if we’re not perfect, we will be rejected, ridiculed, or simply not good enough.
This fear can prevent us from taking risks and trying new things. It can also lead us to be overly critical of ourselves and others.
When we’re able to let go of our need for perfection, we’re able to be more flexible, open-minded, and compassionate. We’re also more likely to take risks and be creative.
