The Fountainhead Completed!

  • Completed reading The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It has some interesting ideas. How Altruism is bad and selfishness that which doesn’t hurt others is better. The novel is written well. She describes each scene with details such as the environment, clothes and emotions making the reader feel like watching a movie. The plot is built slowly making it a 350+ page novel. The cream however is in 4 pages in which the character Howard Roark gives his speech in his trial.

  • Ordered fountain pens and inks. I always enjoyed dribbling pen on paper. Since most of the tasks have turned digital, writing with a pen started feeling difficult. My Hindi handwriting too has turned bad since I have not used it for decades. Now that it is the primary language to communicate with the officials in UP, I better improve it. Not gonna lie, I developed a sense of inferiority for the Hindi language until I recently found that perhaps English is the most inferior one. It has not only fewer root words, but it also draws many words from another language. Subjects such as philosophy and art should be read in non-English. I hope to practice a little every day to build the most important skills humans have developed, reading and writing.

  • Will slow down reading more new books, the exam should be taken. The digital notes are being made, once sufficient matter is written, it will be converted into articles.
