The boat orchid (cymbidium species) is named after the shape of its lip, which resembles a boat. In addition to their unique shape, these orchids are also known for their long-lasting and fragrant blooms, which can last up to several weeks. Boat orchids are native to Asia and are often used in traditional Chinese to treat a variety of ailments, including fever and coughs. They are popular as ornamental plants and can grow to be quite large, with stems reaching up to 1 meter in height and producing up to 30 flowers per stem.
